About This Group

Avast! So, ye come seeking pirates, eh? Well, here be the place t' find em.. but be warned, the locals bite, and if yer not careful, ye might leave with less limbs (and a lot less sanity) than what ye came with...

Rum and Chaos stems from a site for those lookin t'join The Outlanders pirate crew.
Who are The Outlanders? A crew of insane, pyromaniac, rum-loving, havoc-wreaking, chaos-creating heathens, gypsies, and pirates through and through

No, I am not the Captain of the fleet, but I am part of the crew nonetheless, and we are always glad to welcome new members with open arms.

Events we have attended, will be attending, and still attend, include but are not limited to::: FLaRF, BARF, NCRF, MDRF, PARF, Sterling, NYRF, Gulf Wars, Pennsic War, Wicked Winter, TRF, Spring Thynge, Lee Island Pirate Days and Pirates in Paradise.

If ye are interested in joining the crew, head on over to the official Outlanders forum and introduce yerself to the rest of the crew! We take in all kinds of people, so no worries about if it is restricted to pirates only (it's not). If ye have any questions, ask!

*NOTE* ALL pirate topics are welcome to be posted here.
ALSO, if you decide to join the forum, please introduce yourself to the rest of the crew!

here be our ship structure for this past pennsic! alas, she had to be left for firewood :(

(click to see the full picture, the blog cuts off the right half)

a couple little quirks about it:::

-the actual dimensions were in proportion to a real ship.

-if it were not scrapped for firewood, we would have continued further work, including a bottom half.

-the mast (aka thump-ding) also doubles as a carnival strong-man contest.

-both sides of the structure have a staircase or ladder so you can go and hang out on the top decks.

-the structure on the right with the 'target' also had a zip-line that you could ride to a tree below (off camera)
